I founded 2 Sparrows to bring that belief to life — creating highly personalized journeys that blend beauty, culture, and seamless execution. With a particular focus on France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, I specialize in crafting experiences that feel both elevated and authentic — while effortlessly arranging travel anywhere in the world.
After more than a decade traveling the globe as a private flight attendant for royalty and discerning clientele, I developed a deep understanding of what truly defines luxury: not just where you go, but how you feel every step of the way. Anticipating needs before they are spoken, delivering seamless details, and creating moments that feel both effortless and extraordinary became second nature.
Kari’s Story
Following my years in private aviation, I opened a five-star luxury lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand — an experience that further shaped my approach to hospitality, design, and guest experience at the highest level. Today, 2 Sparrows Travel is the natural extension of that journey, combining my global experience and industry education to fulfill my heart's desire for travel through serving others.
My personal love for travel is rooted in the details that make a place unforgettable — storybook villages tucked between mountains, scenic hiking vistas that take your breath away, creatively curated experiences, and those rare, majestic moments that stay with you long after you return home. These are the elements I thoughtfully weave into every itinerary.
Whether I am arranging a stay at a luxury hotel in a world-class city, a private transfer through the countryside, or a hidden experience off the main road, my goal remains the same: to design a journey that reflects you — your pace, your interests, and your vision of what travel should be.
Because the most meaningful travel isn't just about where you go… it's about how it's experienced.
The Story Behind the Name
The name 2 Sparrows was chosen with great intention — rooted in personal history, a love of travel, and a deeper sense of meaning.
It first honors my Uncle Bob, the heart of our family. As a devoted member of the National Audubon Society and an avid "twitcher," he traveled the world in search of extraordinary bird species. His journeys, curiosity, and appreciation for beauty in far-flung places continue to inspire the way I explore — and design travel for others.
Why 2 Sparrows?
Sparrows themselves are remarkable travelers. Many species journey thousands of miles each year, navigating vast distances with quiet resilience and purpose. The White-crowned Sparrow and American Tree Sparrow, for example, can travel up to 70 miles a day during migration — small birds undertaking extraordinary journeys. In many ways, they embody the spirit of meaningful travel: intentional, enduring, and deeply rewarding.
Finally, the name is grounded in faith. One of my favorite passages reminds us of our inherent value and the care woven into every journey:
"What is the price of two sparrows — one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows."
